The CES Technology Fair represented a car show for many years now, but no one expected Sony, with all the drivers on the consumer electronics show held in Las Vegas, to present a car.
It's called Vision-S and of course the company wants to point out: Sony is not entering the automotive industry, but re-focuss his role as a supplier of basic technologies (chip, sensors, cameras, etc).
Of course, the car is electric and is driven by two 200 kW engines (one for the shaft). And it accelerates from 0 to 100 hours to 4.8 seconds at a maximum speed of 240/h.
In short, Vision-S is for Sony to be a gearing technology window for future cars. It takes the form of a sedan and is made using Sony-made technologies.
The Japanese company is also co-operating with Bosch, Continental, Genetex, Nvidia and Magna.
