Tea lovers and milk, cheer up! A new study has revealed that adding milk to your favorite tea can perform miracles by preventing toothburn.
Tea, valued as the second most consumed drink in the world, is very high in health benefits. Its content of flavonoids and antioxidants offers many benefits to the heart. But drinking tea, on the other hand, is one of the main causes behind tooth spots. The tea causes spots in your teeth because the tana found in this drink leaves remains in your teeth by coloring them and stripping them of the enamel.
The tea tandies present give him bitter taste. In dark color, they can also stain teeth. Besides tannins, the way tea is processed causes teeth to be stained. The more tea is processed, the more oxidated and the higher the properties of coloring.
Dr. Ava Chow of the School of Stamatology at Alberta University says that adding milk to your tea reduces your tea's ability to tarnish your teeth. According to Dr. Chow, she designed her study to introduce dental hygiene students for research. However, she was surprised by the results and decided to publish them.
Dr. Chow and her team observed human teeth 24 hours after leaving them in a cup of tea and in a solution of tea in milk in it. The findings showed that teeth placed in milky tea became white. Researchers attribute this property to the main protein of milk, casmine, which when joining the tannin prevents tooth decay. The result of the color of the teeth was comparable to the change in color seen when using bleaching products, even more effective than bleaching pasta.
Dr. Chow recommends that patients before drinking tea with milk also consider drinking milk as part of their dietary culture.
