The company from South Korea, Samsung, has announced that it will present its virtual experimental keyboard during the CES 2020 fair, which relies on the user's front camera as well as the AI, in order to enable writing without touching the smartphone.
This means that the front camera will detect the user's hands and fingers and try to determine what is being written depending on his fingerprints.
According to Samsung, SelfieType is a virtual keyboard that uses the front-hand camera. “Motor SelfieType He analyzes fingerprints on the front camera and converts them into inputs like QW keyboards SEE, writes KOHA Ditore. SelfieType does not require extra mapduer and is very adaptable for various mobile devices, such as phones, tablets and laptops”, according to the company.
This is part of the Samsung C-Lab Inside programme, which presents projects created by employees at the South Korean company. Experiments like SelfieType will be introduced under the CES 2020 event, while whether this will become commercial remains to be seen.
