The declaration of ambassadors of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States reportedly 21 years ago, the massacre that took place in Recak eventually led NATO allies to intervene and end a humanitarian catastrophe.
“We honour the memory of those who lost lives in Recak and other massacres in Kosovo two decades ago, working together to build a future of peace, justice and prosperity for future generations”, the statement said.
Quinti countries demand that the Government of Kosovo and Serbia ensure that victims and their families have full access to justice and information about the fate of their most loved ones.
The citizens of all ethnicities and beliefs feel at home and free to live, work and trust peacefully with their neighbours. As this country's Declaration of Independence says, Kosovo is a “dedicated to coping with the painful legacy of the past in a spirit of reconciliation and forgiveness.
