PDK in Prizren: Vetevendosje government in municipality, nontransparent

It has listed several points showing Vetevendosje's nontransparentity in local governance in Prizren, led by Mytaher Haskuka.

“One of the most important indicators of performance, for any kind of activity including local governance and the mayor of the municipality, Mytaher Haskuka, is also transparency. Lack of transparency actually means lack of information, regarding what is happening in the local government in Prizren”, it is said in the communique.

And, according to the PDK, when there is a lack of information, it is natural to have a decline in trust in local governance, which had promised a lot, but ultimately without promise, transparency is also a duty to citizens and public opinion.

Furthermore, the level of transparency is said to have been measured by civil society and based on some appreciative pillars:

Transparency in Chairman's office;

Assembly of Komuna;

Municipal finances as well as Transparency in public consultation.

The PDK adds that it is worth remembering that the chairman in the campaign has promoted the concept “radical transparency” from which we are far away.

The Comunal Parliament hearings have long since been broadcast for public opinion.

Access to official documents, which is regulated by law, where, in a 7-day term, there must be an answer, many cases when citizens are denied access to official documents, even though the law guarantees such a right.

Employments in all sectors involved: DKA, Health Directorate etc., is almost mysterious in the absence of proper information.

In December of last year, the extraordinary session by the opposition has been called for, but due to non-transparency, there is no answer about the demand, for this extraordinary session.

It's said that over 5m euros are a success from 2019, but because of lack of transparency, there are still no details about this important issue. Once we have precise information and that figure is formalised, the PDK branch in Prizren will hold a conference, specifically on the matter in question.

Civil society, NGOs, as well as the Media themselves, have much criticism of transparency, which leaves much to wish for, because they have no access to what is being done in Prizren's municipality, what is being done by the executive, or whether there is no information about the decisions made by Prizren's mayor, Mytaher Hasku.

The WEB site has a deadlock and is not functional in most of the time.

These and many other factors point to poor performance, on the part of local governance in the municipality of Prizren, led by Vetevendosje.
