Mehmetaj, who was forced to go to Serbia because of Father's health situation, was stopped at the border point as he was returning to Kosovo.
Although documents allowing him to return were given when he entered, Nezir Mehmetaj was taken from Serbian authorities.
He was even described as the 30 - day detention measure. Despite the Kosovo authorities' response and their demand for his return to Kosovo, this did not happen.
In all of this, Indexline contacted his brother, Valon Mehmetaj.
He said family members have already visited him in Serbia and that his physical condition is stable.
According to his brother, Nazir Mehmetaj has been appointed to three lawyers who have initially demanded 10 thousand euros, the figure too high and unable to be covered by them.
The visit to Neziri is real, his health situation is good, not a complaint about the conduct inside, but which needs to be backed up by our institutions that means he does something about his release because he doesn't keep me longer than before, because we're predicting what can happen to him within”, said Nezir Mehmetaj's brother.
He even stressed that Neziri Mehmetaj has been pressured to psych during the interview, and that he is being held at the Belgrade Centre of Keeping, which positions under the Special Court.
No, they've been interrogating him and they've actually been questioning him, they didn't keep him in the interview for long, but the form of the preliminary interview has been more physical than physical pressure.
He has three lawyers, two are Bosniak a Serb with headquarters there in Serbia, in Belgrade. Neziri is at the Preservation Centre under the Special Court facility. It was the woman, we males can't be there because of the risk we have but it's also gone a relative, wife and daughter. But inside is let alone the woman. As I have information, my wife has only been allowed 20 minutes to stay”, he said.
Valon Mehmetaj has appealed to Kosovo authorities to find themselves in this very difficult situation for Nezir Mehmetaj, but also for all family members in general.
The “Avicts have asked 10,000 euros for start, but this demand is not final depends now on the first, second and second phase they have. E Since it's not a private case or a private charge something then we appeal to have support and protection. We're sorry as a family, but we don't have the opportunity to give so much money that it's a huge figure”, he concluded.
Serbian authorities have often provoked Kosovars by stopping them at border points, and the last case that happened was that of Nezir Mehmetaj.
