Krasniqi: Initiative is not a rejection party, we are in domestic service

The Social Democrat Initiative is open to co-government, even though it has not yet received an offer for co-operation by the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo.

National Social Democrat Initiative Council Chairman Jakup Krasniqi, in an interview for Online Economics, has said that this party has not yet received an offer, but if the invitation comes, they will consider it. Krasniqi says they are not a party that refuses.

We didn't get it. We have to look at this and we don't. If it comes, we are in the country's service and we want to make our contribution. I think government needs to be changed, it has to be good, and governance is not done in words. Government is done with people who know and want the best for this country”

“In the first order of VV and LDK have the numbers to govern. If an offer is made, we will consider, after all, political parties are organised for power. We're going to discuss it, and we're not the ones who refuse”. However, Krasniqi says they must once wait if the two parties that came first in the 6 October elections manage to agree.

Speaking of the possibility of achieving the coalition between the VV and LDK, Krasniqi expressed surprise why this did not happen even after 100 days, though these two parties have been operating as opposition.

“I have thought that after the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo have emerged as the two largest parties from the 6 October 2019 elections, they will form the ruling coalition and so they are in opposition, and being in opposition forms a better way of communicating of political subjects, but we are seeing that this has obviously not helped these two parties to see responsibility, because in the end it is not only the country's priority but also responsible. I consider it not being considered the responsibility to govern, but the priority for who and what is taking”, Krasniqi has said.

Krasniqi has said that the parties that have emerged from the elections should be defined as soon as possible if they want to change or re-direct the sovereign. And the choice of Glauk Konjufca at the helm of the Parliament, Krasniqi sees no problem.
