Kosovo's pension fund reached 1.91 billion euros

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has announced that the pension sector continued to have a positive return to investments and increased new contributions, resulting in increased assets. On a quarterly basis, pension sector assets expanded to 43.9m euros, as a result of increased cash contributions and returns from investments.
“Krahas TM3 2018, the total asset value for this quarter was lower for 25.7m euros, largely as a result of the lowest investment return value”, the report said.
In this quarter, FKPK cashed contributions were marked at 46.0m euros, an increase of 6.1 per cent compared to the same period in the preceding year. For more, The FKPK marked positive returns in investments worth 21.8m euros.
This increase came mainly as a result of the performance of investments in foreign markets, as well as those within the country.
“Invesions in the letters worth the value of the Government of Kosovo increased for 34.1m euros. Compared to 2018, pension funds have increased their investments in the form of deposits in commercial banks in the country. Deposits of pension funds increased for 28.6m euros”, the report said.
The FSKP realised gross return from investments of 220.5 thousand euros, or 48.7 thousand euros more than in 2018. For more, The FSKP also had new collections totalling 137.5 thousand euros.
As far as the pension sector is concerned, gross return from investments was 22.04m euros, while cashed contributions were 46.08m euros, of which 99.7 per cent belong to the FKP.
