One of Iran's top military leaders, Qasssem Solejmani, has been killed during an air strike with fears ordered by the United States of America, has confirmed the Pentagon Thursday evening. Soliman was hit at Baghdad airport in Iraq, a city where there was recently strong anti-American protests.
Two people reported dead and nine others injured after the missiles fell near the air cargo terminal, burning two vehicles.
It was President Donald Trump himself who ordered the murder of Solejman, while in the account at “Titter” published a photo of the American flag.
General Qassem Solemann was commander of the Al-Quds elite Force, part of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Army. His murder by many experts is considered the most delicate moment in the Middle East since the Iraq War.
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared after the attack that “harsh taking awaits criminals”, while Foreign Minister Javad Zarif called the US action the “act of international terrorism”.
Washington's response came after the recent attacks on the American Embassy in Baghdad, thought to have been prompted by Iranian forces.
