For three years KEK invested 1m euros in community

In 2019 alone, investment value totals 110 thousand euros.

One of the municipalities that has benefited from KEK's investments is the Dardhisht village of Obilic.

Thanks to KEK investments, residents of this village already have no problem with dust and water-filled pits.

“KEK has recultivated it, planted it, filled the pits with soil, covered the ashes with soil, and now it has become a much better environment than it has been before. Here children are in danger of drowning in water holes. But it's not bad now. It's a stadium. We thank KEK and all those who have taken initiative to build it. He's fine now. This year, 4,000 seedlings, pines, trees, and so on. We hope that within options they will sow again. The sowing has been very influential, as there is no more dust, and the air and the environment has become clean”, said Daut Gashi, resident of Dardishta.

Building the sport field is also seen as a good opportunity for children and youths to benefit in an educational way.

We thank KEK for this area that built it. It's very welcome of us. The impact for the youth of the field that has been built at this time is very important considering that this field has an educational role for youth. So all youth, but other ages can come here and play during leisure time and avoid other ways that are not educational, educational, for the youth of this country. In the future, we thought to keep the shift starting with football, basketball, volleyball, because this area meets these three needs to develop”, said educator Driton Gashi.

Besides the construction of the field, residents of Obilics have also benefited from two multifunctional parks.

Equipment for all ages has been placed in these parks.

In fact, residents living in the Obilic park have had great benefit from the construction of the field, which was once the large garbage depot.

This project has been very important for our neighborhood because this place has been more like waste storage, where people have thrown trash and other things, and it's also been very important for the homeless dogs that have been dangerous for the children of our neighborhood, and now this project has been accomplished and done very well for youth and elders too, because they have a part to stay and rest, while we young people have a part of the physical activity where we can play ping, chess, tennis, and all sports to develop in one place, Selmani said.

On the other hand, KEK spokesman Skender Bucolli has stated that for the Kosovo Energy Corporation, improving the lives of citizens is one of its main objectives.

This year's Kosovo Energy Corporation has implemented two parks and a sports field. The Fair Sports Field in Dardish as you saw, the park here in downtown and it's the Obilic Park. All these projects total about 110 thousand euros, while in the last three years the Kosovo Energy Corporation has only spent a total of about 1m euros on realisation of projects for the community.

The Kosovo Energy Corporation will continue with such projects for the community every year, and this year we have allocated the budget for this area”, said Bucolli, who added that in addition to parks and sports areas, KEK has even invested in asphalt of several roads in the village of Hades and in lighting up three roads linking Obiliki to surrounding villages.
