Italian media had originally reported that Naples was close to reaching an agreement on the transfer of Cubula. However, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio insists the situation is not like that in negotiations between the two clubs.
Sky Sports Italy now reports that Inter is the favourite club to ensure the signing of Cubula, since it has already negotiated an agreement on its transfer at the end of this season.
If the agreement on Albanian is reached officially, Inter's left-wing defender Federico Demarco is expected to join Hellas Verona this month.
Dimarcus is not part of Coach Antonio Cote's plans in San Ciro, especially since he has played only 19 minutes in Serie A so far during this season.
On the other hand, Cubula has made 12 presentations for Verona this season, while four games have been missed because of a muscle injury in the leg.
