Kosovo became the first country to return 110 of its citizens from Syria, but their integration continues to remain a challenge for institutions.
Even during 2020, prosecutors and courts in Kosovo will deal with women and men accused of participating in foreign wars.
A 16-year-old woman has already told Radio Free Europe her journey to Syria, the conditions that were there, Periscope follows.
I was only 14. It was November 23, 2015. The reason I went was more because of my fiancé. At first it was good, it was all living conditions. Then things got worse, and I had a big problem with food and drink. We were not even entitled to drink water. We were afraid of being killed by”, she said.
This woman who fails to reveal her identity says she has repented of going to Syria. However, it says that resocisation in Kosovo is very difficult and that it would prefer that after returning from Syria it would move to another predominantly Muslim country. /Periscopi/
