The SEZONAL GRIPY am OUT INTENSITETIN The National Institute of Public Health throughout the year makes permanent oversight of the seasonal intensification of activities during the upcoming October-May season. A total of 16,588 suspicious cases in Grip, 2931 acute respiratory infections and 13 cases of severe acute respiratory infection have been reported from October 01th 2019 to January05, 2020. The cases are reported by all municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo except municipalities with Serb populations. The largest number of cases are reported by the municipality of Pristina and Prizren, but does not exceed the epidemic threshold. Between October 01st 2019 and January 5, 2020, a total of 109 suspicious samples in Grip have been tested at the National Public Health Institute, of which 9 samples have resulted in positive A flu and positive B flu. In the Infectious Clinic- S H SKUK from October 1st to today are hospitalised 349 cases with Dg. Bronx (ARI), 15 cases with Dg. ILI and 13 cases of Dg. SARI National Institute appeals to all Regional Public Health Directors to raise the level of vigilance and reporting suspicious cases in all public and private health institutions in Kosovo. We repeat our recommendation that the health inspectorate oversee all Kosovo health institutions to order for the legal obligation to present infectious diseases. Officials at the National Institute of Health of Kosovo warn that the virus A is part of the group of common seasonal flu viruses.
