FBK nominated new Kosovo selection

The board of the Kosovo Basketball Federation (FBK) has made a decision that Christos Marmarinos will be appointed selective representative A of Kosovo.

Christos Marmarinos has been an assistant coach in many European teams, winning many trophyes, even at San Antonio's summer camp team, until he was finally a coach in Japan at the Nisinomiya Stokes team.

That coach's career began as a coach's assistant in 1995-96 in Ment Thessalonic for the U16 generation of men. He went on for two years to Aris Thessalonici as assistant coach for U18 and U16 males, winning the title. In 1998-99 was the first coach of U18, where he won regional competitions and was on the staff of Greece U18. In the 2000-2001 edition you were the assistant coach of Armond Hill at Columbia University, responsible for the development of players. In 2001, Greece's assistant coach ranked second in the Mediterranean Games. He twice won Euroleague, 2012 and 2013, three-time finalist at Euroleague 2010, 2015, 2017, six times at “Filin 4” Euroleague (209, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017). Three times he won the title in Greece (2012, 2015, 2016), 12 times finalist in Greece (2006-2018), finalist in the Greek Cup (2008-2013), winner of Greece Cup (2010, 2011). In 2015 he was chosen by Euroleague as the best coach of the year.

He has also worked as NBA commentator and analyst, until he has worked and works as a basketball adviser, where he has worked with players, teams and institutions that offer advice and training knowledge to improve individuals and organisations. The list of customers includes NBA and Euroleague players.

Marmarinos has recently doctored in philosopher (PHD), basketball analyst.

Kosovo's new coach will be present at the Kosovo Cup Final 8, to be held from 11 February to 15 February in Rahovec. Also in the second week of February, a conference will be held, presenting itself to the media and publicising the contract details.

Kosovo is in a group with Iceland, Luxembourg and Slovakia in pre-qualification for the 2023 World Cup.

The first “Dardians will be held in front of Iceland in Pristina on February 20th, as long as they face Luxembourg on the trip on February 23rd.
