Mark Zuckerberg's company, currently in the field with the “project The challenge of discovering deep fake”, along with other giants, such as Microsoft and Amazon, announced it would remove deliberately manipulated content from its platform, but by preserving patrols and satiries.
This announcement comes at a moment when social networks have been asked to clear their platforms of false news and false content, within the framework of American presidential elections in late 2020.
To understand if a video is manipulated, the company will rely on its 50 world partners for a fact check in 40 languages.
Last month, the social network launched a co-operation with Reuters to create an online course, which helps journalists know “deep face” and not fall prey to lies.
