The Donors' Conference, to be held on February 17th in Brussels, will provide support to Albania after the November 26th earthquake. Just a few days ago, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement reaffirmed the fact that the EU and the Western Balkans themselves hold priority, so this first visit to northern Macedonia and Albania was realised, Tch reports.
While the European Commission has confirmed that it adheres to recommendations for opening negotiations for Albania, expressing confidence in a positive decision by the Council before the Zagreb Summit in May. A European Commission spokeswoman also disclosed details about ATSH from the new enlargement methodology, while declaring that, “The European Commission will present in the coming weeks proposals to make the accession process more efficient, more reliable and more dynamic”.
