EU lawmakers have requested a universal uploader and empowered the Commission to continue working on it through a delegateal act, Periscope follows.
At the plenary session, European deputies by majority demanded the introduction of universal chargers into use as soon as possible.
Some of them criticised the slowness and non-efficiency of this Commission, while others have said there are allegations of corporate opposition opposing such a move as the giant technology company “Apple”, Periscope follows.
According to estimates, older fillers generate more than 51 thousand tonnes of electronic waste per year.
Consumers are designed to save up to 500m euros by 2021 simply with the implementation of that measure. /Periscope
