Such a ceremony is taking place in the Iraqi city of Kerbella, while crowds continue to grow.
People are carrying the flag of state and army and portraits of both. There is grief but also anger, as many of them shout “Death to America” as they march.
Following American President Donald Trump's order to kill one of Iran's most powerful men, the US will send hundreds of additional troops to the Middle East.
