This day Zagreb officially considers it historic, given that this is the last state to enter the EU, while it already has serious tasks in front of itself.
Croatian Prime Minister Plenkovic will currently be on the run and will have a meeting with a large number of leaders of European institutions.
On January 7th, two days after the second round of presidential elections. Pelnkov travels to Paris at a meeting with French President Emmanuel Makron.
One of the theme talks will be enlargement, which during the Croatian chairmanship will be among the priorities in the agenda.
Three days later in Zagreb comes the chairman of the European Council.
On January 16th, Plenkov heads to Germany, where he will meet Chancellor Angela Merkel.
After Croatia, the chairmanship with the EU will be Germany, after which Portugal will take office then Slovenia.
