The total number of people who have been confirmed dead from this recently identified pathogen in China has risen to 170.
China's health authorities have said that another 7711 persons are infected by that virus, mostly in the Hubei province, while infected persons have been reported in at least 15 other countries.
The virus has also had a major impact on the world of sports in China, since many events have been cancelled and the country's national Olympic team has been isolated in Australia.
On Thursday, the CFA disclosed through a statement issued on official websites that football matches, all levels, have been postponed in order to help control the virus's distribution.
China's “Football Forum will continue to maintain close communication with national authorities and make reasonable adjustments to the organisation, schedule and match level when necessary”, the statement says.
