The robot, which has a stethoscope, is helping doctors take over vital sides and communicate with him through a large screen, Dr. George Dezar, chief of the Washington Everett infectious disease division.
The patient in his 30s was diagnosed with the virus Monday. He initially underwent emergency medical treatment on January 19th and told the staff he was concerned that there were symptoms of the new coronary because he had recently travelled to Wuhan, China, writes CNN, translates Periscopi.
He arrived at Seattle Airport- Tacomas on January 15th, before health scanners arrived at the airport.
This affected person remains stable, but has still been put in isolation.
Washington state health officials on Thursday showed that the number of people who had had close contact with the 30-year-old was 43.
“The medical staff in the room moves the robot around so that we can see the patient on screen, and talk to him,” said George Diaz further, adding that robot use minimizes the exposure of medical staff to the infected. /Periscope
