Canada seeks Iran to compensate for families of crash victims

Trudeau said Canada would offer $19,122 to the victims' families and added that he still expects Iran to compensate the victims' families.
He said these vehicles would help family members cover funeral expenses, travel to Iran, and other expenses.
Other funds that could be offered by Tehran will go directly to the victims' families, the Canadian prime minister added.
I want to be clear, we expect Iran to compensate the victims' families. But I met them. They can't wait for weeks, they now need support”, Trudeau said.
After initially denying responsibility, Iran acknowledged that the army “deliberately” had crashed the Ukrainian plane on January 8th after leaving the airport in Tehran, killing 176 people on board.
Trudeau said the crash of the plane was “Canadian tragedy” because 138 passengers were headed for Canada, broadcasting REL.
In addition to Canadian citizens, among the victims are citizens of Iran, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Sweden, Britain, and Germany.
