The pregnancy produces a mixture of emotions, and not all are good. If you're worried, you're not alone. Concern is common, especially during the first pregnancy of a woman or an unplanned pregnancy. Depression or anxiety can be even more difficult.
For your own good and for your child, you should take care of yourself as much as you can. Make sure that you eat well, exercise, get sufficient sleep, and take vitamins full before birth. If you feel distressed, sad, or worried, talk to someone about it and ask for help if you need it.
What feelings can be caused?
Mood storms are normal during pregnancy. But if you feel nervous or frustrated all the time, it can be a sign of something deeper that is happening. Some pregnant women may have depression or anxiety:
Depression is sadness, feeling that your mood is very low, or you can be nervous for a few weeks, months, etc. Some women may be depressed before they become pregnant. But depression can also begin during pregnancy for a number of reasons, for example, if a woman is unhappy about being pregnant or having a lot of stress at work or at home.
Anxiety is a feeling of concern or fear over what may happen. If you worry too much, much can make you even more stressed during pregnancy. You may be concerned that you will not be a good mother or that you cannot afford to raise a child.
Pregnant women may have other mental - health problems, such as:
Bipolar disorder (then depression and lack of energy and then high energy and the mania to be active);
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD);
Panic attacks (sudden and strong physical reactions with an inexplicable and paralyzing fear);
Obsessiv-compulsive disorder (OCD);
Eating disorders like bulimia or anorexia nervosa.
It is important that mental health concerns be addressed during pregnancy. Mothers who are depressed, anxious, or having another mental problem may not receive needed medical care. They cannot take care of themselves, or they may use various drugs or alcohol during pregnancy. All of this can harm the baby in the womb. /Pernets/
