Just 35 years ago, in the first part of January, over our country, the region, and parts of Europe, a polar storm brought frost and heavy snowfall. On January 13, 1985, some of the lowest temperatures in the country were recorded.
The following is some reports and photographs in the Renaissance newspaper during that month, which I found in the archives of the Kosovo National Library these days. According to the newspaper's report on January 14, 1985, Pristina was named the coldest country in Europe.
The minimum temperatures recorded on January 13, 1985, in our country are the following:
