The justice system in Kosovo is continuing to face many challenges, since courts have a host of unfinished materials.
The Court of Appeals in 2019 began with 12 thousand and 957 matter.
The court's spokesman, Arben Jashari, has told of the news.net that during 2019, without an estimate of December, 14 thousand and 707 subjects have been admitted.
We've had 27 thousand and 664 classes at work. We've solved 15 grand, 959. As the work continues to remain at 11 thousand and 705<18x1>, Jashar said.
Ten new judges started working in this court.
As a result of their work, but also of greater commitment, Jashar has stressed that this year there will be about 5 thousand materials solved more than in the previous year.
Also, in 2020 we plan to embark on about a thousand and 500 less, which means that we've solved all the materials that have reached in a year and reduced the number of back - ups to 1,000 and 500 substances.
Yasar pointed out that there is no question that procedures have been significantly accelerated especially in supplementary classes, conflicts from working relationships, expropriation, and so on, without counting on the urgent subjects that have always been handled with priorities.
While the main challenge of Appeal remains civilian, a large number of them are unfinished.
From reports published by organisations for Kosovo's justice system, it becomes known that the judiciary and prosecution continue to remain two of the institutions with the lowest trust.
Since the post-war, Kosovo's justice system has remained the most criticised area since hundreds of thousands of unresolved substances continue to remain in the country's drawer of courts.
