The Speaker of the Assembly, Kadri Wessel, has recalled the US terrorist attack 18 years ago.
He says Kosovo is lined up with free peoples, with the US at the helm to fight terrorism.
Wessel writes on Facebook:
18 years ago, on September 11, 2001, peace - loving states of free democracy suffered a global tragedy. Thousands of innocent lives of people of different nationalities were extinguished by terrorist attacks in the United States, which were the worst in human history.
Along with some 3,000 innocent victims of over 70 different nationalities, today we also remember our three countrymen who died that day: Mon Gjonbalajan, Simon Dedvukani of Rock Camajn.
Their death indicates that this attack has affected all of us and that terrorism is an evil for all of mankind - indiscriminately the nation, religion, and race.
Kosovo is lined up with free peoples, with the US at the helm, in the global coalition to fight terrorism. However, within and abroad, universal freedoms that prevent violent extremism are highly promoted.
