You spend eight hours a day at your desk which is almost three quarters of the day, so it's normal for you to personalize it to do yours. After all, though, it's your desk, not your bedroom.
The following are the seven things you shouldn't have at your desk, no matter how much you love them:
1. Political Campaign Articles
Politics should be left out when you're in the office. It's one of those things you shouldn't talk about or be promoting in the office. So make sure your office is empty from signs or articles that show support for political candidates or political parties.
2. Religious Icons
Like politics, religion is one of those things that shouldn't be brought to the office. No matter how much you may love your religion, it is good to leave your personal faith out of work.
- Inflammatory Relics
The attractive relics make you feel unprofessional and immature so stay away from them.
4. Unsuitable photos
The pictures when you're out at night dancing drunk is good to keep them in your privacy. Such pictures in working environments not only make you look bad but also make other people feel inadequate.
- Waste
Don't forget to bring your food bag home every day. If you leave them to work along with other waste, it will make your workplace dirty, disorganized and unhygienic. A clean and organized workplace becomes productive to be there. When you have letters thrown away, trash and a full table you and your colleagues will not feel comfortable.
