Kosovo mufti Naim Ternava has “blessed the start of the election campaign. He has urged political parties during the campaign to show culture and high behaviour until he has said the Islamic Community will preserve political impartiality.
It, on behalf of the Kosovo Islamic Community's Headship, has wanted fair, quiet and trouble-free campaigns.
“As the Mufti of the Republic and the leader of one of our greatest religious institutions, and not only, I ask of all of you for the campaign to show culture and high behaviour.
Despite political differences, other things unite us, and after October 6th, we still have to do things together. We, as a religious institution, will maintain political impartiality, because you all belong to us and we belong to all of you”, wrote Ternava.
This is his complete message:
Message on election campaign launch
Honored citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,
Honored candidates for deputies,
Tomorrow, the election areas for parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kosovo officially open.
As the Mufti of the Republic and the leader of one of our greatest religious institutions, and not only, I ask of all of you for the campaign to show culture and high behaviour.
Despite political differences, other things unite us, and after October 6th, we still have to do things together. As a religious institution, we will maintain political impartiality, for you all belong to us, and we belong to you all.
So, on behalf of the BIRK Headship and in my personal name, I want you to campaign honestly, quietly and without problems.
Yours,
Naim Eph. Trava
Republika Kosovo Mufti
