“Boycott 5G” and “Always faster, more, more to the detriment of human and environment”, “Stop 5G”, there were protesters' banners in front of the Swiss parliament, calling technology 5G harmful to health.

“The gathering of so many people today is a strong sign against the uncontrolled presentation of 5G,” said Tamlin Schiller, co-president of Frequency, an association that organised the rally.

After South Korea, Switzerland is one of the first countries in the world to present 5G services, a mobile infrastructure that is at the centre of the technological conflict between the United States and China.

Opposers of 5G in Switzerland are afraid of electromagnetic radiation technology and some cantons have petitioned to freeze the construction of antennas on behalf of preliminary principles, such as Geneva, Vaud, Friburg and Neuchaltel.

The Federation of Doctors has sought caution and explains “until it is scientifically proven that the rise of the current radiation limits has no effect on health, it should not increase”.

Opposers are trying to launch an initiative for the referendum on this topic, which will require 100,000 signatures in 18 months, Kosovo Press broadcasts.
