GrosdietWil, a rural community about an hour north-west of Lucern, has many empty apartments and not enough residents to fill them. So, there's been an idea to draw young people to stay: 1,500 CHF (1,510 dollars) in cash for those who decide to stay at Grosdietville if they're under 30 years old, it's albinfo.ch.
So far, four family heads for the first time have benefited from the offer announced in the July municipal bulletin, writes Swissinfo.ch.ch.
One month's rent is easy to cover, as apartments in the small town begin with about CHF950/month; Two bedrooms in a new building go about 4,450 CHF, escort albinfo.ch away.
“Bonus is a significant investment”, Reto Frank Mayor told “Wilisauer Bothe”, a regional newspaper. “Youth is our future. They enrich our village life with fresh ideas, they join clubs and are the foundation of new local families”, he adds.
Grosdietville population 865 is not the only one who has this problem. Throughout Switzerland, there are more than 75,000 empty houses with exceptionally high levels of free countries in southern Switzerland and beyond the central ploja.
70,000 CHF for a Family of Four
With only about 200 inhabitants, Albinen's mountainous village is offering even greater rewards. In November 2017, its citizens voted “Po” for a plan to withdraw incomings by paying them CHF25,000. For example, they must be under 45 and be able to invest at least 200,000 CHF in real estate. Bones RIK 25,000 CHF for adults and 10,000 CHF for children is also valid for locals investing in a house, broadcasting albinfo.ch.
The goal of Chairman Beat Jost was for five new families with children to be deployed within five years. Today they are “on the right path” says Jost. There is a young couple in the city, as well as a family of two children and a child along the way. Moreover, some locals have pledged to buy and/or renew homes -- three singles, a family with one child and a couple who now expect a child.
Albinen is alive! And that's exactly what we wanted”, says Jost.
Baby Bonus
In many cantons they receive money gifts for children. Since the beginning of this year, Ticino Canton has paid 3,000 CHF for young children or children adopted. Part of the impulse was the fact that the deaths were beyond birth.
In 2018, Ticino recorded 3,152 deaths and 2,556 births. In the first half of 2019, 1,593 deaths and 1,151 births are now followed by albinfo.ch.
Other countries offer a similar bonus to people who have children. In the Swiss central cantons of Lucerny, Schwyz and Ur ʹ, as well as mainly Fribourg, Jura and Neuchâtel speaking French, parents get CHF1,000- CHF1,500. The rate is up to 3 000 CHF in Geneva, Valais and Vaud.
