Sismologist: Kosovo could hit an earthquake more powerful than in Albania

Land sways yesterday and today in Albania and Kosovo have an explanation and are normal. So says Kosovo Geological Service Geophysics and Engineering Sector leader Sismologist Shemsi Mustafa. In a proposal for the Signal Journal, Mustafa has said that Kosovo could strike an earthquake even more powerful than yesterday's one in Albania, though such a thing cannot be known correctly. Albania, not as it can, but according to him, is expected to strike an even stronger earthquake, writes the Signal newspaper.
We have the map of seismic danger. Likely it is, the map provides that Kosovo can crush an earthquake with power of 6.1 to 6.2 degrees of Riterre. Albania is an area of higher activity than Kosovo. Albania is expected to strike an earthquake even more powerful than yesterday, because according to the seismic risk map in the past, it has also hit 7.5. In Kosovo there has been a 6.1 earthquake in Rither in 1921, and based on a map of seismic risk and research, it can be repeated, but it is not known precisely because there are no devices that define”, Mustafa said.
According to Mustafa, in Kosovo during the last 24 hours there have been about 200 quakes that have not been felt because their intensity has been low. He says that after an earthquake like this one in Albania yesterday, post-circle perimeter increases, and the swings therefore also feel in Kosovo.
The subx0> actually after an earthquake like it hit Albania, the spate perimeter increases. Intently, the swings around us increase until the area calms down. It could affect a very wide area, including Kosovo. But the trail is low in intensity. An earthquake with that scale of richer, 5.5 to 5.8, shakes a vast region, may range as much as 300 miles [300 km]. The shocks felt more than once in Pristina yesterday. Volunteers have also felt in other cities. We have two earthquakes a week that hit Kosovo, but they don't feel because they are low-intensity, from 2.1 to 2.8 degrees of Riterri”, he has said.
The objects, according to seismic Sismologist Shemsi Mustafa, are citizens' biggest concerns during earthquake shocks. This, according to him, makes the earthquake seem even more dangerous and fears to increase in Kosovo.
These earthquakes are expected according to the map of seismic danger, but concern among citizens should be what buildings they live in, are earthquakes affordable. Earthquakes cannot stop. They hit with lower intensity every week. I had a lot of calls from citizens yesterday. Prevention and risk reduction are done, but the opposite is with us. Danger comes from objects. Concerns are, we cannot say that there are no concerns from an impending earthquake, but the greatest fears are the” objects, Mustafa has said.
He has shown how it should be done when an earthquake strikes.
It depends on where you are. But if you're inside an object, it's right to come under some object, table or something, and once the big swings stop, get out, because the object usually gets knocked down a few seconds later”, Mustafa said.
It suggests that all citizens when buying residences and other objects see their construction process, have they observed the building criteria, codes, and seismic architecture because, as he repeats, earthquakes cannot be prevented?
