In addition to Volkswagen Golf 8, which was announced for October, the German group will soon present new Audi A3, Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia all four cars share the same mQB mechanical platform. All these models have been on the market for almost seven years, so it's time for a generation change.
In the media, the greatest attention is paid to Golf 8, which is the VW Group's sales pillar in Europe, but the most important for Skoda is their best-sold model, Oktavia. According to the Motor1 Web site, the Czech manufacturer will officially introduce the 4th generation Octavia in Prague on 11 November.
Like other group graves (Audi, Seat and VW), Skoda has decided not to show the premiere of its compact model at the Frankfurt Car Fair. Instead, a special ceremony is scheduled in the Czech capital, which will mark the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the name Octavia in the Skoda range.
Exactly, the original Octavia was produced in 1959 in then Communist Czechoslovakia, and lasted until 1971.
When it comes to motorisation, variants are expected in gasoline of 1.5 and 2.0 TSI and oil 2.0 TDI, as well as the hybrid of the so-called soft “”, and the hybrid plow engine.
More details on the new Skoda Octavia are expected to be known in the coming weeks, KosovoPress broadcast.
