The prosecution wants custody for Peja's judge, that's what the police found in his apartment.

The case prosecutor, Blerim Isufaj, has said of “Justice Vowif” that the request for the detention measure has not yet handed it over to the court, but, according to him, the proposal for the detention assignment of a month.

Meanwhile, Kosovo Police have announced during Friday that a day earlier they have handcuffed Judge Berisha under suspicion of his involvement in corrupts.

Police reports say that in addition to allegedly misusing official office, he allegedly committed criminal acts of bribery and possession without permission.

The Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, the Regional Unit for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption in Pristina, has accepted information from the victim, reflecting abuse of judicial functions, actions that discredit the position and image of the judge, as well as the image of the judicial system. During the preliminary investigation process, adequate measures have been taken to identify the previously applied form of corruption by incriminating”, the report said.

According to this report, in co-ordination with the Special Prosecution practices known to the Criminal Procedure Code have been applied, strongly relying on a professional investigation based on evidence.

“During the application of the investigative measures, we have secured the suspicion based that the incriminated person has demanded the implementation of the bid, in a way that the same requires/accepting material benefits, (time ago allegedly handed over by the victim and received four thousand (4,000.00) euros (4,000.00) directly) in order not to act in accordance with his official office, in the quality of Judge<x>, the report says.

Also reportedly during the police operation, conducted on September 19th 2019, the suspect has demanded or accepted the sum of two thousand euros, to complete the precise offer in the process to finalise the amount of six thousand euros, in terms of a closed criminal substance with a trial long ago.

After the arrest of the suspect was checked in the presence of the defence attorney, in the Peja NJRKEK office, two thousand (2,000.00) euro money (2,000.00) that has been used for the application of the secret measure, by which cases have been found in his pocket of corruption work. With the prosecutor's verbal approval, the suspect's residence was searched, where they were found and seized: • a firearm, type Zaza-min, calibre: 8m • a clip and ten (10) rounds of 8m calibre • ten thousand euros (1 000.00) euros • paperwork, justice and verbal court process at the order of the special prosecutor, the suspect has been detained at the detention centre for 48 hours<1>, the Kosovo Police's announcement said further.

Otherwise, the “Justice Vow” reported a day earlier on the arrest of Judge Sali Berisha, under suspicion of criminal acts of corruption.
