In northern Mitrovica, some of the residents here want to exploit the right to vote, and others do not look into this election with interest and expect no change in the situation, KTV reports.
I'm sure I'm going out to vote to use my civic right. I think the situation will be better, it's better already, but I hope it will become even better”, says a Serb citizen from northern Mitrovica.
“Yes, I will go out in the election, in this election I expect more positive results, as always”, the other says.
Civil society estimates that Serb community participation in these elections, but also of other minority communities in the country, is extremely important and has a positive impact on Kosovo politics.
For Erblin Hoxha from Movement “FOL”, Serb participation in this election would send two messages.
The four Serbian political subjects will compete in the 6 October elections for 10 seats in the Kosovo Assembly that are guaranteed with the Constitution of Kosovo.
Some have come together in the “Liria” coalition, as they have said, with the aim of defeating the Serbian List, which, according to them, has no goal of the welfare of Kosovo Serbs and the previous mandate had 9 seats in the Assembly, down from 120.
