According to a study conducted in Japan, eating mushroom may have reduced the risk of prostate cancer.
According to the news published by “Newsweek”, researchers have found that eating at least three mushrooms a week can reduce the risk of prostate cancer in males.
This study included 36499 males aged 40 to 79 who have been watched over 13 years.
Participants have been asked about life - style and eating habits.
The study noted that cancer diagnosis is 17% lower on those who consume mushrooms at least three times a week than on those who consume once.
This percentage is 8% less in those who eat mushrooms twice a week.
The study results are published in the scientific magazine “International Journal of Cancer”.
