Serbia's government has reacted after stopping the entry of several Serbian officials to Kosovo.
During today the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs has banned some Serbian officials from entering Kosovo.
MPJ has indicated that the Kosovo authorities have taken this decision following threats being made to the Serb community in Kosovo on the part of official Belgrade.
However, after that decision has reacted to the so-called Office of Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, news broadcasts.net.
This office has condemned the detention of Serbian officials.
According to this announcement, the Kosovo government has banned officials from campaigning for the 6 October elections.
Kosovo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a ban that cannot be passed with any law or agreement in Brussels to prevent representatives of the Serbian Government from supporting the Serbian people, which, as this election campaign shows, is a permanent political violence, human rights violations and undemocratic behaviour”, it is said in response.
Despite the ban by Serbian officials, this office through reaction has said that Serbs should vote on the Serbian List on 6 October and that no one can prevent that from happening.
“We reiterate that there is no such ban and violence, or fines, that Kosovo should discourage Serbs living in Kosovo from voting for the Serbian List on 6 October. Fearing panic by Serbian political unity and our firm determination, people at all costs to maintain strong ties with its state of Serbia, Kosovo representatives are pursuing reckless and extremist movements that are unimaginable in any democratic society”, the news is said to be moving forward.
This office has also criticised the international community for failing to react to the ban of Serbian officials.
The silence of representatives of the international community in Pristina, who quietly monitor the escalation of political violence against the Serbian people, is disturbing. This is quite disturbing”, this office has announced.
Through this reaction, the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, has called on Serbs living in Kosovo who support the Serbian List, as they thereby support Serbia.
“Call on Serbs living in Kosovo to unanimously support the Serbian List in upholding collective rights and to support their state of Serbia in fighting for the dignified life of our people in Kosovo” was the call of this office to Kosovo Serbs.
