The Kosovo Euro-Atlantic Party and the Republican Party of Kosovo have joined the October 6th elections.
They have held today a media conference and signed co-operation agreements to compete together in extraordinary elections.
The chairman of the Euro-Atlantic Party of Kosovo, Milaim Zeka, said there have been offers from the major parties, but they were not worthy of the coalition, according to him.
“Sign co-operation contracts to compete with October 6th elections with a joint list. We have not entered to compete with any political party, we have entered to create a highway of change in the country. Other parties have not been worthy of joining the coalition with them. We have been following offers from all major parties, but what has left a political impression of the republics of Kosovo in terms of us has been our position for us to create the Chinese wall between evil and good in Kosovo. There would be no point in going with any party that has degraded the country”, Zeka said.
And Republican Party of Kosovo Chairman Faton Kurti said they have joined since Kosovo really needs an alternative.
“I support every word he said (Milaim Zeka) but I want to add that we joined that Kosovo really needs an alternative, this has become a daily statement, alternatives cannot bring those parties that have disappointed its electorate for 20 years. These two parties (the Republican and Euro-Atlantic Party) are the conservative right-wing centre. We will not fight corruption, but we will eliminate corruption, then we will strengthen economic development”, he said.
At this conference, it was said that today it will submit lists to the CEC and that people involved in those lists are new figures.
