The Argentine striker suffered a thigh injury in early August, which forced him to miss in the first month of the new campaign, Periscopi broadcast.
But he worked hard to get back in the best physical form and he turned against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening.
He started the game from the reserve bank, but was in the second half.
However, his influence was minimal.
The match closed 0-0 until Barcelona failed to find the way behind Roman Burke's back.
