Research done in China reveals that even low or average alcohol consumption increases the risk of high blood pressure and paralysis.
Research conducted by scientists from China and Britain has examined the health records of 500 thousand Chinese over 10 years as training and the amount of alcohol consumed.
As a result of research, it has been found that consumption of one or two cups a day increases the risk of paralysis by 1015 percent, while four cups a day increase 35 percent.
Prof. Dr. Richard Petto, from Oxford University, pointed out that claims about wine or beer have some scientific protective effects now are in vain.
And Dr. Stephen Burgess, from Cambridge University, said it is already known that long consumption and large amounts of alcohol are harmful to health.
Experts stressed the need to limit alcohol consumption.
Research discoveries are published in the magazine “The Lancet”.
