Past and current world leaders gathered in Paris on Monday to attend the funeral of former France President Jacques Chirac.
The ceremony near Napoleon's grave site was led by French President Emmanuel Macro.
National Himmin “La Marseillaise” was performed by a military group, while Chirac was buried in Montparnasse cemetery, where his daughter, Laurence, who died in 2016.
Among the foreign participants at the ceremony were Russia's President Vladimir Putin, former president of the United States, Bill Clinton, former German cavalier, Gerhard Schroeder, and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
Chirac died 26 September at the age of 86.
His family didn't give any details about death.
Chirac has served as president from 1995 to 2007, broadcasting rel.
Under his leadership, France has entered the Eurozone and abolished mandatory military service.
On the international stage, Chirac will be remembered for rejecting the intervention in Iraq in 2003.
