Exhausted by modern life, Thomas Thwaites decided to abandon London and live like a goat in Switzerland
The 35-year-old spent a whole year preparing the prostetic legs, which would allow them to walk freely in the Alps. He also prepared an artificial stomach that would allow them to grind the grass.
This is his confession:
I've suffered a lot like a goat because I fell often and certainly because I had to eat grass. And I didn't like goats very much, sometimes they attacked me. And you should know they have dangerous horns. Later I realized that they were telling me that there is a hierarchy among them, and I had to know what my place was.
The most beautiful moment was when one of the goats suddenly decided to become my friend and follow me everywhere. She had a nose attack and stood by me. The shepherd of the herd told me that the herd has accepted me as one of them - it was a fantastic thing.

When I first got the idea, a lot of people called me crazy, but I was sick of life. I was unemployed and had many personal problems. Life had become very stressful.
One day I was walking with a friend's dog and noticed that the dog was really happy, no worries. I thought to myself, it'd be nice to be like him someday. But since he does not like meat, he had trouble becoming a dog.
Then he decided to become a goat.
After applying at a university for a grant to study goat psychology, he decided to join a herd of goats in Switzerland. Experts at a university prepared a false stomach.
I learned something very important that even goats have a hard life and have to struggle for their existence. Each day was difficult, and this is something that is simply a part of life.
Another thing I've discovered is that goats are better people. They live the moment more than we do, and they tell us what we need to learn to be more relaxed in life.
He's already writing a book on goat life.
