The incumbent Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, is on a visit to the United States, where he is meeting senior American officials.
Today he has met Germany's permanent representative to the United Nations, Christoph Heusgen, with whom he has said he has discussed the political processes Kosovo is going through. “In the spirit of continuing co-operation and support, today in New York I met Germany's permanent representative to the United Nations, Christoph Heusgen, with whom we discussed the political processes Kosovo is going through, dialogue with Serbia, new elections in the country, and the strategic partnership that Kosovo has built, privately with the German state”, is said in Haradinaj's announcement.
Haradinaj has said he has thanked Ambassador Heusgen for his and German stance against changing Kosovo's borders. “I thanked Ambassador Heusgen for Germany's steadfast stance and Chancellor Angeka Merkel against the idea of changing borders and concrete commitment to restoring Kosovo's unconditional dialogue -- Serbia” -- has written away Haradinaj.
He has said Kosovo is committed, side by side with strategic allies to continue its Euro-Atlantic path, internal empowerment and affirmation of its international subjectivity, as well as regional peace and stability.
