Haradinaj hosted Norway's new Ambassador Grondah at the connoisseur meeting!

Wishing him for his new job in the country, incumbent Prime Minister Haradinaj has stressed that Kosovo has been fortunate that in key periods of statehood there have been countries like Norway supporting our cause for freedom and statehood.

“We believe that our journey to the international level, in further consolidation, is safer when we have partners like Norway on our side and we are focused on strengthening this and seeking further support for advancing the country's international subjectivity, membership in international organisations and empowering bilateral relations in the economy, education and in other areas”, Prime Minister in charge Haradinaj said.

Acting Prime Minister Haradinaj has announced Ambassador Grondahl to achieve Kosovo, empowering the rule and law, reforms in administration, economic growth in the country, and progress in other areas, as significant steps towards an irreversible path of Euro integration and advancing society in the country.

“Norwegia has given much to Kosovo, either as direct economic assistance, giving away millions of donations and supporting with direct programmes the country's institutions and civil society, and this assistance is a respected basis for a long-term partnership with the friendly country, which is a partnership we are extremely interested in”, incumbent Prime Minister Haradinaj has said.

Furthermore, incumbent Prime Minister Haradinaj has cited the fact that Kosovo has fulfilled all criteria for visa liberalisation, and this process is a acquired Kosovo right, for which we await the decision by the EU.

Kosovo will not produce refugees or trouble for EU countries. With free movement these countries, including Norway, will benefit more opportunities to exchange experiences, expertise, and more consumers. We are aware of the responsibilities we have and in this direction we have worked hard at strengthening the institutions of the rule, law and security”, incumbent Prime Minister Haradinaj has said, seeking Norway's support in this process and Kosovo's NATO membership as a necessary action for lasting peace in the Balkans.

“We are willing and have capacities to provide much for security in the region and the world. With our institutions, creditable and with international parameters, we can offer more for world peace through NATO”, incumbent Prime Minister Haradinaj has said.

The meeting has also discussed increased bilateral co-operation between Kosovo and Norway in areas of common interest, separately in the field of education, trade exchange and health.

Our young people are in step with the young people of Europe, in terms of knowledge and skills for specific areas, and increasing co-operation with Norway can be the interest of both countries”, Prime Minister Haradinaj has said.

Ambassador Grondahl has thanked incumbent Prime Minister Haradinaj for the reception, stressing that Norway will continue its support for the country, in international consolidation and that it is interested in deepening co-operation between the two states.
