The suspended applications were linked to about 400 developers, but not all suspended applications presented a threat to users” -- Facebook said in a statement.
The company lost large sums of money and was threatened by bankruptcy as a result of Cambridge Analytica database that was discovered in 2018. Cambridge Analytica used the data of many Facebook users without their permission.
The political consultancy firm allegedly used this data, taken from a personality quiz, targeting political advertising.
