Facebook activated facial recognition function

Facebook users will now have to choose to activate facial recognition if they want to use it to identify in photos posted on the social network, the platform today stressed.

Facial recognition technology automatically identifies people in photos posted on the social Facebook network, if these are friends of users. These may then choose to identify photos with their names.

For more than two years, this post will go further by signaling users when they appear in images posted on social networks by their friends.

Now, those who use this option or who join the network will have to choose whether or not to activate this technology.
