“The Tiguies of the Charshia” is a manifestation for promoting the values of young artists in the country, said by the Cultural Information Centre in Skopje, which this year organises the 13th edition.
But, half the budget of this separate manifestation for artists, I will go to the stars of the Albanian Estrada outside the borders.
QIK Director Sermine Purrini says they have not left sides either of the country's original artists, but the high cost of singers Elvana Gjata and Dafina Zeqiri reasons with their world renomes.
Other expenses, according to her, are for schematics and artistic organization over three days. The highest cost is that it is also the big scene of sound, lighting, which costs a lot, and singers are very expensive.
The total budget percentage would be about 40% of these, but there are other costs. I think it's managed well, because Skopje needs much more than that.
This is a very small particle what is happening in Skopje, said Sermine Purrini, director of the QIK. The budget of this three-day manifestation is 3,65 million denars from public money.
The city of Skopje has divided 3 million denars, the Culture Ministry 500 thousand denars and private businesses 150 thousand denars. According to official information provided by Alsat, the price of four best-paid singers without the VAT is:
The Cost of Four Best Payed Singers Without VAT
Elvana Gjata 11 thousand euros
Dafina Zeqiri 4 thousand euros
Happy Berisha 2,500 euros
Limani star 2,500 euros
On the other hand, some of the young singers and artists who participate in this manifestation are paid only 100 euros. From the Ministry of Culture say these half-million denars separated for “The Tynges of Charshia” do not know exactly what they will be spent on. They say this support comes in order to commemorate the forgotten tradition, revive insufficiently visited spaces in Skopje and contribute to the emancipation of Skopje's undeveloped cultural environments.
The Ministry of Culture has shared the 500 thousand denars fund for the Charshia Sounds. For the separate means of this manifestation, we do not request detailed financial reports of what will be spent ʹ they say by the Ministry of Culture. In the 13th year “The Charshia 11x1> is being held in Skopje by 16 September with the participation of local and foreign artists in the field of literature, film, figurative art, folklore, classical and folk music.
