Leader of The PDK, Kadri Veseli, has remembered today on its 77th birthday Albania's great poet, Ali Podrima.
Candidate of The PDK for the country's Affable Prime Minister has written on its Facebook page that Ali Podrima's verses were spokesmen of trouble, pain and revolt that raged in the hearts of the Albanian people.
“They also served as a call for mobilization in the resistance to our liberation war, for our blood, which is not forgiven”, has written Wessel associating with this text and the well-known variations of Podrima, I your son Kosovo.
Kadri Wessel's full status:
77 years ago, Ali Podrima, one of the greatest contemporary poets of Albanian literature, was born. He was a true intellectual, and his pen was a mirror of the historical reality of our nation. His verses were spokesmen of trouble, pain and revolt boiling in the hearts of the Albanian people. They also served as a call for submission and mobilization in resisting our liberation war for our unforgiving blood.
In memory of the great master of verses that left us tragicly and prematurely, I am sharing his emblems with you.
U n WRITER IN BIRI YT
I am your son, Kosovo, to know the silent desires,
I know dreams, winds of sleep for centuries,
I know suffering, joy, death,
I know your white births, your brown points;
I know the blood of your breast.
The waves when the night waves fall,
Then he will like a volcano.
Better than anyone, Kosovo,
I, your son.
