Kosovo Parliament Speaker, at once leader of The PDK, Kadri Veselini, has responded to the letter issued today by QUINT, reconfirming the PDK's stance, which will be supporting the Western allies of Kosovo through a script published on its Facebook page, Wessel has said that in early parliamentary elections, Kosovo citizens will choose among those who are supporting Western allies who helped with the freedom and independence of the country, or those who treat Western allies as enemies and try to survive Kosovo alone.
The complete script of Kadri Wessel:
Kosovo achieved its independence, having a strong alliance with the West side by side. One of the topics on which citizens will have to decide in this election is whether Kosovo wants to continue its special relationship with our international allies, or treat them as enemies and try to survive alone. We must defend Kosovo's interests, but we will not be able to do so without our strategic partners. Therefore, we welcome the efforts of the US, EU, Germany, Great Britain, France and Italy to develop Dialogue. However, we ask the EU to prevent the financing of parallel structures in Kosovo by the Government of Serbia, to ban colonising Serbian projects through neighbourhood construction in the north, to allow reconstruction of houses burned where Albanians lived before 2001, as well as to punish Serb criminals and rapists for crimes committed against innocent Albanians during and after the war in Kosovo.
