Officials at this company said on Friday they were hired in court to restore damaged buyers to $196.5m provided they do not become the target of another court fine.
According to this agency, the same software is installed in the cars of Audi, Bentley and Portche producers, which were produced between 2013 and 2-17. This device caused the car to change its speed in order to save more fuel, but it only happens in normal driving conditions.
Among the models that will already be assessed the lowest marks of efficiency are Audi A8, Bentley Continental GT, Porsche Caenne and Volksagen Touareg.
This manufacturer had admitted to using illegal software to deceive pollution tests in 2015, prompting harsh reactions against global oil cars.
Due to this scandal, the company has so far been sentenced to 30 billion euros, writes “Reuters”.
