Following Tomor Morina's arrest on an order from Serbia, Serbian judicial bodies have conducted criminal proceedings even against H.M. citizens.
Minister Tahiri's full statement:
Less than a full week after trying to arbitrate our national, Tomor Morina, by means of the irrational international arrests originating from Milosevic's oppressive regime, Serbia continues to impress on the flagrant violations of human rights, bringing about judgments on our citizens, not ignoring any standards and any principle from the international conventions, which it is part of.
The last case of flagrant wrongdoing is that with our citizen H. M, for which Serbian judicial bodies have conducted criminal proceedings without his knowledge, in full opposition to the right, and who today are in danger of being arrested if it leaves the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Furthermore, Serbia's continued attempt to exercise jurisdiction over the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, when such a thing can exercise only the Republic of Kosovo as a sovereign state, at the level of justice presents the face of the destitution that Serbia's justice system has, while on the political level presents the continuation of the same mentality of Milosevic's regime.
It is obvious that Alexander Vuciqi is not cut off from Milosevic's legacy, but with our citizens he will lose worse than his tutor.
These are clear signals that Serbia is far away with political reality, far away with the principles of justice and such a thing, cannot remain unaddressed.
The Republic of Kosovo will not allow through abuse of the principles of justice, Serbia will extend its political goals to the citizens of our country and to our sovereignty as a state.
At the beginning of next week, I will address the institutions of the European Union to ask them for this irresponsible practice of the Serbian state, harmful to justice and neighbourly relations, to end once and for all.
